For claims teams and policyholders
Insurance and Claim-Related Works
Make-safe, documentation, quotation and approved repairs for insurance-related property damage, run in the order a claim needs.
Overview
Claim-related repairs go wrong when the sequence goes wrong: repairs before documentation, variations before approval, one contractor's word against another's. We work on insurance-related property damage where engaged by the owner, the property manager or an authorised representative, and keep the works in claim order — stabilise, document, quote, then repair — with photographs, scopes and completion records a claims file can use.
Make-safe first, repairs second
Immediate risk is treated as its own task: site stabilisation and preventing further damage. Permanent repairs are scoped, quoted and approved separately, so mitigation never pre-empts the claim.
Documentation a claims file can use
Site photographs, observed-condition notes and itemised quotations, tied to your claim reference or work-order number. Scope queries from claims managers and loss adjusters get direct answers, and where causation needs an engineer or other specialist report, we say so rather than guessing.
Approved works, controlled variations
Work proceeds against the approved scope. Anything additional is quoted and approved before it happens, progress is reported, and completion is documented for close-out.

Where our role starts and ends
AUS Wide Maintenance provides observations, photographs, quotations and repair services. We do not determine policy coverage, causation liability or claim acceptance; those decisions rest with the insurer and its appointed representatives. Where a specialist or engineering opinion is needed, we identify that requirement rather than offering one.

FAQs
Insurance and Claim-Related Works: common questions
Are you an insurer panel builder?
No, and we don't present ourselves as one. We're an independent contractor engaged by the property owner, the property manager or an authorised representative, and we work to the documentation and approval requirements that apply to the claim — including quoting to an insurer's scope of works where one exists.
Do you decide what the policy covers?
No. We report what was observed, quote the repair and carry out approved works. Coverage, causation liability and claim acceptance are decisions for the insurer and its appointed representatives, such as the claims manager or loss adjuster.
Can you quote from an existing scope of works?
Yes. Send the scope with the work order and we price against it line by line, noting any inclusions, exclusions or site conditions that need clarifying before the quote is relied on.
Can policyholders contact you directly?
Yes. If a claim is underway, have your claim reference handy and tell us who else is involved — insurer, adjuster or property manager — so quotes and reports go to the right people with the right reference on them.
